Gas shielded welding wire storage and distribution specifications
- The warehouse where welding wire is stored should have a dry and ventilated environment to avoid moisture; it should reject the presence of highly volatile and corrosive substances such as water, acid, alkali and other liquids, and it is not suitable to coexist with these substances in the same warehouse.
- The welding wire should be placed on a wooden pallet and cannot be placed directly on the floor or close to the wall.
- When accessing and handling the welding wire, be careful not to break the packaging, especially the inner packaging “heat shrink film”.
- Open the welding wire package and use it up as soon as possible (within a week). Once the welding wire is directly exposed to the air, its anti-rust time will be greatly shortened (especially in humid and corrosive media environments).
- Distribute welding wire according to the “first in, first out” principle to minimize product inventory time.
- Generally speaking, the amount of welding wire shipped out of the warehouse should not exceed two days’ use. Welders must keep the welding wire that has been shipped out of the warehouse properly.
